Education for Teachers; Nature Is My Saddlebag

Since 2013, it is aimed that the teachers or teacher candidates working in schools (private or government) who are affiliated to the Ministry of National Education to meet with nature, to learn by experiencing by making concepts related to nature and ecology and to make their students contact with nature, to observe, to discover and to play games. In the project 'Teacher Education', an average of 80 teachers are trained annually. The Educations are held every year in October-November-December between 1: 00-17: 00 for 1 day at the NGBB Education Center and in the garden. Education is free and the quota is limited to 20 people per group. Applications are made in September. At the end of the education, a certificate of participation is given.

Learning Outcomes: Teachers recognize nature conservation. Experience the use of games as an effective learning tool in environmental education. He / she tries the concepts related to nature and ecology. Gain awareness about environmental literacy. Understand the importance of biological diversity for natural life. Question the causes and consequences of environmental problems. Being conscious about environmental protection and active attitude. Increases teaching qualifications for the effective implementation of environmental education in schools.

Who can apply for the project? Teachers and teacher trainees who have interest and interest in nature and plants and who work in different branches can apply under the project.
