Oak Islands

Special importance is attached to oak species at NGBB, with the aim of raising awareness of the important characteristics and benefits of oak trees. The Garden currently contains examples of 21 of Turkey's 23 native oak taxa and 14 other oak taxa. Work is continuing to increase the oak collection still further. There is a reservoir to collect rainwater which is then utilized in the Garden.
