Tulipa sprengeri is a type of tulip that has not been seen in our country for many years and is thought to have disappeared in its nature. While it is a kind of unique to Turkey, but has started to work again to find the plants seen in gardens in Europe.
In the works of "compilation of Turkish names", which were carried out in the NGBB, this tulip, which was no longer found in nature, was accepted as "Lost Tulip" (in Turkish "Yitik Lâle"). This plant is also included in the cover of the Turkey Plants List; Vascular Plants. Studies about the rediscovery and survival of the Lost Tulip (Tulipa sprengeri) initiated by Adil Güner and a group of scientists and institutions.
