On 3 December 2009, in order to collect seeds and increase the number of saplings, and at the same time, in 2006, the prepared land for planting seedlings in their region, a field study was carried out in Antalya.
Before the study, which was attended by Banu Altinay, Ali Celik and Harun Dogusoy from NGBB, contacted with Antalya National Education Directorate, Antalya Forest Regional Directorate, Serik Forestry Operation Directorate and Tasagil Forestry Directorate.
As a result of the interviews conducted by the Antalya Regional Directorate and Serik Forest Plant in Antalya district of Serik, Pyrus serikensis seedlings were allocated a field to be planted.
The first phase of the project related to conservation and revitalization of the species has been successful. Studies on this subject are ongoing. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to those organizations who have contributed to and supported us in this study.
